Who is the Schools Cool program developed for?
It is for children eligible for kindergarten entry in the fall. It was developed in 1998 for the Community and Action Program (FCAP) to help the children funded under this program enter school ready to learn.
Developed to create an effective transition to kindergarten for 3 to 5 year olds.
It is for children who are at risk of not meeting their optimum development due to the social determents of health. They are delayed in their skill development due to environmental conditions. The program will help children come to school with the skills to have a successful entry into kindergarten.
