The Arts Infused Learning (AIL) Projects are run in partnership with the Ontario Arts Council and ArtsSmarts National.
The AIL program allows for teachers and community artists to collaborate and co-plan a unit with the aim of teaching the traditional ‘core subjects’ (i.e. Math, Language and Science), using the arts as a learning vehicle.
The 2012-2013 school year allowed almost 2000 students from every area of the district to participate in the program. These students worked with painters, graphic artists, musicians, sculptors and dancers to explore and demonstrate their learning.
Please return to this page as Artifacts from the projects (both the final products and the process) will be posted.
