Altona Forest Public School opened in April 2000 at a beautiful architecturally designed facility. The school is located in the city of Pickering just east of Metro Toronto. The community consists of a well-established older neighbourhood as well as newer homes that characterize the rapid growth of the Durham Region.

Our philosophy is to provide each student with the opportunity to achieve success and meet the academic achievement standards established by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Along with providing opportunities for students to excel in the Arts and Athletics, we are committed to delivering rigorous academic programs in literacy and numeracy that provide students with the necessary tools and skills for the future. Parents, students and staff work together respecting our diverse community and learning needs. At Altona Forest caring shows and each learner grows.
