Bobby Orr Public School was founded in 2002 when the Cedardale and Conant community schools were amalgamated.
Bobby Orr opened the doors to our beautiful new school building on September 7, 2004. Our school truly is a neighbourhood school that serves approximately 300 students most of whom walk to school. We have a staff compliment of approximately 22 teachers and administrators and 12 educational assistants and early childhood educators. The staff is a very dedicated and professional group of individuals who work together as a team to provide our students with a well rounded education. Our school traditions include activities such a school wide Thanksgiving dinner, participation in Terry Fox Run and All Star Assemblies. Our students are encouraged to participate in a number of clubs and teams as well as contribute time to community service.
There are three special education classes housed in the school, an associated class and two developmental classes. Approximately 25% of our regular school population is identified and receive additional support from our special education resource teachers.
