School Website

Frenchman’s Bay Public School is a French Immersion site with a population of 716 students.  Our French Immersion Program is one of two in the Pickering area. Frenchman’s is situated in the south end of Pickering, bordering the shores of Lake Ontario. Our school supports the arts, athletics and academics by providing a wide range of rich learning opportunities for our students.
Literacy and Numeracy continue to remain at the forefront of our school improvement planning.  Thus, professional development and additional resources are directed towards improving student achievement in these areas. Students in French Immersion do not begin English instruction until grade 4, thus our grade 3 French Immersion students only complete the math portion of the EQAO testing. Grade 6 students write all components of the EQAO assessment.
