Sir John A. Macdonald Public School is a triple track school located in a well established neighbourhood in south Pickering. Children from both rural and urban settings attend our school. We have 193 students in English classes ranging from Junior Kindergarten to grade 8 and 274 students in grade 1 to grade 8 French Immersion programs. As well, our school has three self-contained special education classes serving some of the special needs students in the region.

Our strong academic focus reinforces the ongoing literacy, numeracy and assessment strategies in place to support all learners. All of our staff focus on using a differentiated approach to learning which takes into account student interests, learning styles, as well as academic readiness.

Staff, students and parents work together to provide a rich educational experience at Sir John A. Macdonald P.S.
