Athletes Doing Accessible Programs
Through Sport (ADAPTS)

The ADAPTS program is a new initiative of the Durham District School Board (DDSB). The program provides student-athletes with special needs a variety of opportunities for personal growth through athletics and to participate in team and individual sports at an appropriate level of friendly competition.

Durham Elementary Athletic Association (DEAA)

DEAA offers and promotes the finest inter-school athletic programs for the students of the Durham Elementary Public Schools, focusing on those sports not widely available within the community. 

Today, DEAA governs over 100 schools involving 40,000 students.



Lake Ontario Secondary School
Athletic Association (LOSSA)

Currently, this consists of the secondary schools within the Regional Municipality of Durham, as well as Courtice Secondary School, Bowmanville High School, Holy Trinity C.S.S., Clarington Central S.S., Durham Christian School, Clarke High School and St. Stephen’s Secondary School in Bowmanville (“LOSSA-designated schools”). The associations main objective is to organize and coordinate all interschool athletic competitions and related activities sanctioned by LOSSA.

Ontario Federation of School
Athletic Association (OFSAA)

OFSAA is a federation of 18 regional school athletic associations geographically spread across the province. The association is comprised of student-athletes, teacher-coaches, principals, and sport administrators all committed to the philosophy of education through school sport. Our main priority is to work with volunteer teacher-coaches to provide 46 provincial championships and five festivals for Ontario's student-athletes.
