Dr. Roberta Bondar Public School
Learning is the key to the universe
School Information

Dr. Roberta Bondar Public School opened in September, 1996 in North Ajax. Our school serves Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight students. Our present enrolment is approximately 215 students with a staff of 20 which includes administrators, teachers and support staff.

Our school is located in a culturally diverse community. We strive to organize and implement initiatives to increase our students’ awareness of ethnocultural issues, assisting them to recognize racism, ethnocultural prejudice and discrimination. We aim to equip our staff and students with the skills required to live and work in our diverse society.

Our school's official colour is teal. It was chosen by Dr. Roberta Bondar herself when the school opened.

Mission Statement

Our mission at Dr. Roberta Bondar Public School is to foster an inclusive environment where all students, staff and families work together. As a community, we build character, promote respect, responsibility, enthusiasm for learning and academic excellence in a safe, equitable school.
