About Our School
SchoolPhoto.jpgCadarackque Public School is a dual track school. We offer both an English and a French Immersion program. We have 10 English stream classes from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 and 14 French Immersion stream classes from Grades 1 to 8. Our school opened in September 1991 and is located in a developing suburban area between Highway 401 and Highway #2 in Ajax. We currently have an enrolment of about 625 students representing a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Cadarackque P.S. has 31 teaching staff, including a teacher-librarian, 3 educational assistants, 3 custodians, 2 secretaries, and 2 administrators.

Our school continues to provide an excellent opportunity for students to develop respect for diversity and to benefit from the expertise of specialists in academic and extracurricular areas. Our motto is: Above and Beyond Soaring for Excellence! / Visons plus haut vers l’excellence! Our mission statement is: "The Cadarackque Community is committed to continuous improvement of student achievement, providing an environment in which all students can learn the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are essential to becoming respectful and productive citizens in an ever-changing, culturally diverse, global society."

This year our School Plan, based on report card data and EQAO results, focuses on Making Connections in both Literacy and Numeracy; Equity and Inclusion supported by our parent committee that meets every six weeks and career awareness for our Grade 8 students. Our School Plan has a school wide focus. Our staff continues to be committed to team planning which integrates a variety of programs and provides a common focus for continuous improvement of student achievement.

The School Community Council (SCC) is very active and we value positive working relationships with all of our stakeholders.  The SCC holds its meetings at the school generally scheduled Thursdays at 7 p.m.  All parents are welcome to attend our meetings.
