We would like to congratulate and welcome Patrick Cotter, to the Durham District School Board (DDSB) as our new General Legal Counsel. Patrick is a strategic thinker and communicator with exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills. This appointment is effective January 28, 2019.
Cotter joins the DDSB team with 20 years of experience as a high-performance lawyer, who recently worked with the Toronto District School Board as their Senior Litigation Counsel. In 1996 he attended Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and in 1998 he was Called to the Bar with The Law Society of Upper Canada in Ontario.
In addition to working on education litigation, Cotter previously and successfully represented many high-profile clients including, Twentieth Century Fox, Disney, Kraft Canada and the Montreal General Hospital.
