 Why take the Hospitality program?

Upgrade your skills and knowledge for employment in the hospitality industry - Assistant Cook, Prep Cook, Line Cook, and Catering.

 
Are you:

  • Needing to earn credits towards your grade 12 diploma
  • Interested in employment with the hospitality industry
  • Interested in transition to apprenticeship as cook / chef / baker
The Hospitality program will allow you to:
  • Earn 4 credits towards your diploma
  • Learn food preparation - safe food handling, kitchen professional skills, customer service
  • Obtain a professional uniform for food lab and placement
  • Become job ready for the Cooperative Education placement
Other Information:
  • Class times:  9:00 am - 2:30 pm
  • Community placement (co-op) runs for nine weeks after your in-class training, to allow you to demonstrate your skills to potential employers
