The Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK) has been at Duffin's Bay Public School since September, 2010.  The FDK program is a two-year program for our 4 and 5 year old learners.  The curriculum is a play-based, inquiry learning program designed to develop key skills in literacy and numeracy and develop a love of learning.  The learning is facilitated by a classroom teacher and Early Childhood Educator.

The FDK program is supported by the Early Years department at the Durham District School Board and Ontario Ministry of Education.   There are many resources in our school board and community to support our early learners, both before they enter school and once they have entered the FDK program.

The Ajax Ontario Early Years Centre is presenting a workshop series "Positive Discipline for Every Day Parenting", for parents and caregivers of children from infancy to 18 years of age.  Please see the flyer here for details:  Positive Discipline in Every Day Parenting Flyer.pdfPositive Discipline in Every Day Parenting Flyer.pdf
