Our vision is to provide a safe and secure learning environment which fosters the development of independent learners and good citizens. We will support opportunities to develop excellence, self confidence and risk-taking in education. We will continue to work together with the community to nurture the growth of our vision.
DUFFIN'S BAY IGNITES LEARNING
Our focus as a learning community is in direct alignment with the DDSB Strategic Priorities to "Ignite Learning". Our academic program provides a rich environment which embraces a variety of research-based instructional strategies through rich, inquiry-based learning opportunities. Educators and students create safe learning environments, recognizing the unique equity and diversity of our community through social justice and character education. Throughout the learning process, students and educators engage in responsive assessment strategies which support students to improve their learning. Our academic priorities are developed collaboratively and informed by a variety of data sources on student achievement. Complete details of our School Improvement for Student Achievement and Well-Being are on our website. Please visit the DDSB website for details about Ignite Learning.
