On Tuesday, April 10, 2018, Grade 10 students across Ontario will write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT). It will also be written by students who were previously eligible but have not yet written the test or who were unsuccessful on their first attempt.

The successful completion of the test is a requirement for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Therefore, it is very important for all eligible students to write the test on April 10. In order to graduate from high school, students must meet the literacy requirement.

For more information about OSSLT, please contact your child's secondary school.

ATTENDANCE

Only students who are writing the OSSLT and students with special needs in small class placements are required to attend school on April 10th.

Students who are not required to attend on April 10th are encouraged to attend a supervised, designated academic support centre that will be available for all students to complete assigned work or to receive extra support for their course work.

Bussing

Regular pickup and return times are provided in the morning and end-of-day for all students, including small class placements.
