Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood to Present $27,000 Cheque for Waverly PS Playground

Time:               8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. |  Cheque presentation at 12:20 p.m.

Location:         Waverly Public School, 100 Waverly St S, Oshawa, ON L1J 5V1

Audience:        DDSB staff, students and representatives from Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood. Please note capacity limit is 25 people as per public health guidance due to COVID-19 protocols.

Waverly Public School students are excited to be one step closer to getting their first ever playground.  In a demonstration of community partnership, representatives from the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood will present the school with a $27,000 cheque to help them reach their $60,000 playground fundraising goal. 

To celebrate, students will enjoy a COVID safe play day and will tune in to watch the cheque presentation in their classrooms via livestream at 12:20 pm.

Arrangements can be made in advance or on-site for interviews and/or photo opportunities.
