1.0 The Durham District School Board (the Board) supports, encourages, and facilitates the development of partnerships between the Board or its schools and the larger community.

1.1 The primary objectives of partnerships are to support curriculum delivery and enhance the quality and relevance of learning.

1.2 Partnerships, sponsorships, and donations are mutually beneficial to schools and the community.13. All partnerships, sponsorships, and donations must comply with individual school improvement plans and the Board's mission, statements of values, and system plan.

1.4 The additional resources gained through partnerships, sponsorships, and donations are to complement, not replace public funding for education.
