2019-2020 School Year Calendars Approved

The Durham District School Board’s (DDSB) upcoming 2019-2020 school year calendar for elementary and secondary schools has been approved by the Ministry of Education.

The 2019-2020 school year will begin for students on the following dates:

Regular Calendar Schools       - Tuesday, September 3, 2019

Modified Elementary Schools  - Tuesday, August 6, 2019

Modified Secondary Schools    - Monday, August 26, 2019

There will be no early dismissal for the first day of school and on the last day before the December break (December 20, 2019) for all schools. Additionally, all junior Kindergarten and senior Kindergarten students will begin school on the scheduled first day of school.
