2021-2022 School Year Calendar

Durham District School Board’s (DDSB) upcoming 2021-2022 school year calendars for elementary and secondary schools have been approved by the Ministry of Education.

The 2021-2022 school year will begin for students on the following dates:

• Regular Calendar Schools (Elementary and Secondary) - Thursday, September 9, 2021
• Modified Elementary Schools - Tuesday, August 10, 2021
• Modified Secondary Schools - Monday, August 30, 2021

There will be no early dismissal for the first day of school and on the last day before the December break (Friday, December 17, 2021) for all schools. Students in Kindergarten will have a staggered start to school. More information will be shared with Kindergarten families prior to the start of the school year.
