An accommodation review is a Ministry of Education mandated process. It allows school boards to address shifts in school enrolment to ensure funding is focused on students when considering closing or consolidating schools.
Durham District School Board accommodation reviews have a detailed community consultation process involving the public. Accommodation reviews are in accordance with Policy and Procedure Pupil Accommodation Review.
