On-Boarding Uncertified Teachers

Congratulations on your Uncertified Teacher position with the Durham District School Board (DDSB). We are excited to have you support our schools and students. In order to ensure that the on-boarding process is successful, you must accurately complete and submit mandatory forms in a timely manner.

Mandatory Forms

Durham District School Board (DDSB) is working to ensure that each of these forms meet accessibility standards. While this work continues, if you require an alternate format or would like assistance completing any of the forms below, please contact hr.onboarding@ddsb.ca.

Please print, complete, and submit all forms via email in PDF format to hr.onboarding@ddsb.ca. Forms not completed accurately, will delay the hiring process.

  8. submit along with your completed forms, a void cheque or a direct deposit form from your financial institution.
  9. submit along with your completed forms, a Vulnerable Sector Check dated within last 6 months. If you do not have, please purchase one from your local police services where you reside and email the receipt of purchase. Forward the completed check immediately upon receival. If you live in Toronto, apply online to Toronto Police Services and provide Agency Code 202309TPSON1D9F8. We require the receipt of purchase.

Thank you. Your received documents will be reviewed. You will be contacted if adjustments are required or items are missing. Once all information is complete, your position/name will be entered into the system. 

Next, you will receive an email from Smart Find Express (SFE) (this could potentially take several days) providing you with your employee ID number and account login information. Only then can you proceed to next steps below.

Smart Find Express (SFE) is our automated callout and online supply booking system. Once you have provided your HR associate with all of your required paperwork you should receive an email (this may take a few days) with your Employee ID, SFE registration information with step-by-step instructions on how to register with SFE.

Step #3 - Pay Stubs/T4 Slip/Record of Employment (ROE), Benefits, Pension, Union

Pay schedules are located on the staff portal
Next, choose the appropriate supply group.
