School Year Calendars
School year calendars are approved by the Ministry of Education typically around the 3rd week of May of the preceding school year.
You may visit the Ministry of Education to view a full list of school holidays set out by the Ministry for the next five years. Our dates typically conform to these guidelines but we will not be able to confirm until we receive Ministry approval. All calendars will be posted here once approval is received.

Professional Activity and Provincial Priority Days
Throughout the school year, there are days where school board staff are engaged in professional learning through Provincial Priority (PD) Days and Professional Activity (PA) days. Who: all schools Date: August 29, 2024 Length: Full Day Topic: Welcome Back/Get to Know Staff, and Literacy Curriculum Implementation Entity Hosting: Elementary and Secondary Schools (all schools) Presenter(s)/Facilitator(s): School board staff at schools Description: School teams will review practical and effective strategies through in-person group sessions to support student learning, well-bring and ensure staff are supported in their everyday duties through sessions on Literacy Curriculum implementation, Expectations for Safe, Secure and Inclusive Schools, Workplace Violence Awareness, and Systems and Structures to Support Student Engagement. This professional activity day will be facilitated and hosted by school board staff at the school level. |
