Elementary School Programs
More
The Durham District School Board begins with excellence in learning from Kindergarten. Our elementary school level programs, courses and opportunities are designed to give young students the best start. We also have programs designed for specific types of early learning.
All programs are aimed at student achievement and well-being. Courses are meant to teach and enhance critical thinking as well as ignite the desire to learn and grow. We also use technology to help enhance learning in a digital world.
We also offer specialized courses and programs, such as:
- Athletes Doing Accessible Programs Through Sports (ADAPTS) for special needs student-athletes
- Special Education and inclusive services for students with special education needs, including gifted students
- Durham Integrated Arts Camp (DIAC) for those wishing to pursue visual arts, dance, music and theatre
- French Immersion for an immersive education in French
- First Nation, Métis and Inuit Education
- eLearning and blended learning opportunities
- Outdoor and Environmental Education programs
We also have plenty of recreation and special learning programs for early learners. Search for a school in your area and register your child for school.
