 About us

Durham District School Board (DDSB) Libraries are found in each elementary and secondary school.  Staffed by Teacher-Librarians, our libraries shift teaching, learning and thinking by promoting literacy, innovation, collaboration, curiosity, and inclusivity.

Our library spaces are accessible to all.  All are welcome.  Staff and students utilize learning environments that are flexible, collaborative, personalized and promote student achievement and well-being.

Our library collections are diverse and rooted in literacy, with a focus on materials that represent our school communities.  Our collections engage students, allowing them to critically question while becoming globally aware.  Check out a book in person or virtually.

Our programming is dynamic.  Teacher-Librarians partner with educators to offer students opportunities to wonder, question, explore, investigate, and create.
