Whether you are a parent, guardian or community member, the Durham District School Board (DDSB) welcomes your involvement in our schools. As a volunteer you will provide valuable services and help support the learning process.
Join a parent engagement committee
Join the DDSB Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) or your local School Community Council (SCC) to help advise school principals and administrators on all issues related to your child's education.
Regional SCC meetings take place throughout the year and provide SCC members an opportunity to attend workshops through the Parent Engagement Series and exchange ideas with SCC members from other schools in the DDSB. The Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) plans and executes the Regional SCC meetings with input from school community councils.
