Human Rights Policy Consultations Phase 2

The consultation process is now closed. The Board of Trustees approved the policy on May 16, 2022. You can access the approved policy and the related procedures on our Human Rights, Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Racism Policy page.

Involvement in Phase 2 of the consultation process

  2. Review the Draft Policy and Procedures. Summaries of key information have also been included.  The consultation process is now closed. Please refer to the May 16, 2022 Board Meeting Agenda Package for the final approved version of the policy and the related procedures. 
  3. Register now and attend our virtual public open house December 13th at 6:30 p.m.  - Registration for this event is now closed.  
  4. Fill out the survey! or email your comments to humanrightspolicy@ddsb.ca or call 905-666-6396 by 11:59 p.m. on December 17, 2021.  The survey, email address and phone line are now closed. Thank you for your interest and input!

These drafts documents have changed based on feedback from the community consultation process and revisions made by the Board of Trustees. Following extensive community consultation (Phase 1) that took place over the past year, a draft policy was included in the agenda package at the October 25, 2021 Governance and Policy Committee Meeting for trustee review. A special meeting of the Governance and Policy Committee on November 9, 2021 provided an opportunity to review additional procedures related to the policy.
