Basketball

About 85 schools participate in the Durham Elementary Athletic Association (DEAA) basketball season. Each team has 10 to 15 players. Teams are separated by age groups and boys and girls teams. In total, there's upwards of 5,000 student participants most years.

Each year, there's a number of invitational tournaments leading up to the area and Durham championships. Each area has a tournament for 12 to 16 teams.
