Board Improvement Plan

The Durham District School Board publishes a multi-year Board Improvement Plan for student achievement. The plan sets out strategic direction and key priorities of the Board supported through a common vision and shared goals. The purpose of the plan is to focus energy and resources on promoting student achievement and well-being.

The plan has an emphasis on teaching and learning based on four key components:

1. Learning environment
2. Rich curriculum
3. Instructional strategies
4. Student engagement (the teaching and learning framework)
