Qualifications

To apply for these positions you must:

  • Be employed as a fully qualified teacher, vice principal or principal
  • Hold current Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification in good standing
  • Meet the Principal's Qualification Program (PQP)
  • Have a valid Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector component

Successful candidates will display core leadership competencies developed in the Ontario Leadership Framework (OLF):

  • Setting directions
  • Building relationships and developing people
  • Developing the organization to support desired practices
  • Improving the instructional program
  • Securing accountability

DDSB use core leadership competencies and Personal Leadership Resources in the OLF to develop short lists of candidates for these positions in our schools.
